A packaging bag (1) has bag surfaces formed by a bag film (2) and a carrying handle (4), which is disposed on one of the bag surfaces, whereby the carrying handle (4) has a film strip (6) having a handle segment (7) that is accessible by means of an opening in the bag film (2), during use. The film strip (6) is disposed on a carrier sheet (11), whereby the film strip (6) surrounds the carrier sheet (11) with folded strip ends (13) that follow the handle segment (7), which sheet is wider than the film strip (6). The film strip (6) is attached to the bag film (2) by way of the carrier sheet (11), whereby the carrier sheet (11) is connected with the inside of the bag to the side of the film strip (6) to ensure the integrity of the connection between the handle and the bag under substantial weight load. |
