PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article conveying device which has more improved throughput, and can be controlled in a simple fashion.SOLUTION: Traveling paths 51 and 52 comprise first and second traveling paths 51 and 52 juxtaposed each other, and a bypass path 30 for moving an article carriage 4 between the first and second traveling paths 51 and 52 is disposed at a predetermined position. The article carriage 4 on the first traveling path 51 and the article carriage 4 on the second traveling path 52 are set in such a way that their movable ranges on the traveling paths 51 and 52 determined for each article carriage 4 on the traveling paths 51 and 52 are determined according to a control condition. A control means performs control to switch the movable range of the article carriage 4 from the movable range on the traveling path 51 or 52 before movement to the movable range on the traveling path 51 or 52 being the moving destination when the article carriage 4 passes through the bypass path 30 to change the traveling path 51 or 52. |
