PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dome image operation device and planetarium facility that allow a position or line-of-sight direction of observers in three-dimensional outer space to be drawn and displayed on an operation screen so that operators can visually grasp the position or line-of-sight direction thereof without relying on information on characters or numeral figures.SOLUTION: A dome image operation device of the present invention includes: an operation monitor 12; a monitor control unit; a position specification device; and a projection control unit. Accordingly, a sphere graphic 16, an observer's drawing 22, and an observer's arrowed line-of-sight 23 are displayed on a screen 15 of the operation monitor. The sphere graphic represents a spherical area in outer space including a position of the observer with a reference position as a center. Herein, An operation of a mouse and the like allows a position specification action specifying the position of the observer or a direction specification action specifying the line-of-sight direction of the observer to be implemented. An image of a star field when viewing the outer space in the specified line-of-sight direction from the observer's position specified in this way is adapted to be a projection image onto a dome screen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
