[Class 75 (iii).] A box A for housing an automatic lighting controller for use with gas or electric street lamp columns and adapted to be substituted for the ordinary framework and socket that connects the lamp with the column, is fitted with one or more doors E hinged at F to the bottom of the box and fastened at the top as by a wing nut G. As shown, the box is formed with lugs D for attachment of the lamp and a socket B for securing on a spigot on a lamp post. Alternatively, the box may be secured to the post by means of a bolt or stud. The socket B may be fitted with one or more ladder supports comprising a bar having a screw at one end or a bolt or screw encircled by a distance tube. |
