PURPOSE:To stabilize accuracy of folding position and to prevent interference with folding of a web in a sewing device provided at a folding machine of a web rotary press for forming seams on the web. CONSTITUTION:A slit 12 extending along a progress direction line A1 of a web W passing a nose part 6a of a triangular plate 6 is formed on the triangle plate 6, and at a position opposite to the web W with the triangular plate 6 between them, sewing teeth 13 are provided for making seams on the web W passing through the triangular plate 6 via the slit 12. As the seams are formed after passing a former drag roller, the traveling is not affected, and as the web W is folded after the seams are formed, accuracy of folding position is made constant and the web is folded smoothly. |
