PURPOSE:To efficiently remove hydrogen sulfide in a gas to a specific concentration or below by bringing an excessive amount of an aqueous solution of a hindered amine such as a di-lower alkylamino-lower alkanol and triethylenediamine into contact with the gas containing the H2S. CONSTITUTION:This method for removing hydrogen sulfide in a gas is to introduce the gas which contains the H2S and is an object of treatment into the lower part of an absorption column 102 with a feed line 101, bring the gas into gas-liquid contact with an absorbing liquid, comprising an aqueous solution of a hindered amine such as a di-lower alkylamino-lower alkanol (e.g. 2-dimethylaminoethanol) and triethylenediamine and descending from the upper part in a packed section, take out the gas after the absorption treatment of the H2S to the outside of the system with a takeout line 108 for the treated gas, take out the absorbing liquid absorbing the H2S and CO2 from the column bottom with a takeout line 103 for the absorbing liquid, heat the taken out absorbing liquid with a heat exchanger 104, introduce the heated absorbing liquid into a regenerating column 105 for the absorbing liquid, regenerate the absorbing liquid, introduce the regenerated absorbing liquid into a circulating line 106, pass the regenerated absorbing liquid through the heat exchangers 104 and 107 and refeed the absorbing liquid to the absorption column 102. Thereby, the hydrogen sulfide in the gas is removed to >=10ppm.
|
