<p>PURPOSE:To provide a protecting film attachment method in which the attachment of the protecting film for protecting the surface of a cutting plate is carried out easily and correctly, the excellent workability is provided, efficiency is improved through the labor economization and safety is provided. CONSTITUTION:When a protecting film 3 is attached on the surfaces of the cutting plates 1a and 1b which are transferred, keeping a certain interval, at the front and rear parts in the traveling direction, the projecting film 3 having a coil shape is cut to the width which is slightly larger than the width of each cutting plate 1a, 1b, and in rolling-out, the width is reduced until the width coincides with the width of each cutting plate 1a, 1b, by applying brake on the film 3, and then the film 3 is attached on the cutting plates 1a and 1b. Then, the excessive film 3ae which extends between the cutting plates 1a and 1b is cut and removed through the movement in reciprocation in the width direction, in the contact state with the edges of the plate bodies 1a and 1b, by a cutter 8 consisting of four average length cutters 28a-29d.</p> |
