A user authentication method and an apparatus thereof about a service using a protocol which does not provide the user authentication are provided to identify the user in a service using a protocol without supporting user authentication by using user authentication information. A user authentication device performs user authentication to user information provided from a host by using a protocol supporting the user authentication(410). The user authentication system produces the user authentication information by using performed user identification result(420). If it asks to the service which is provided by using the protocol which does not support the user authentication, the user authentication system determines whether to allow the requested service by using the generated user authentication information(430).
