In a track for rail vehicles, individual prefabricated concrete panels (8,11-16) which have a greater longitudinal extent than lateral extent are arranged on a supporting layer, are aligned in a predetermined orientation, and are encapsulated with an encapsulation compound in this orientation. The track has a switch (1) with a main part (6) and an end part (7) in which a main rail (4) and at least one branch rail (5) run. The prefabricated concrete panels (11-16) are laid in the longitudinal direction and in the lateral direction in the area of the switch (1). Accordingly, in the case of a method for production of prefabricated concrete panels (11-16) for a switch (1) for a track for rail vehicles, each prefabricated concrete panel (8, 11-16) is concreted in a shell. The shell has a shell base with a size for a specific maximum size of the prefabricated concrete panels (11-16), which is reduced in order to produce individual prefabricated concrete panels (11-16) for the switch (1), by mounting shell walls on the shell base. Shell shapes which run transversely with respect to the subsequent rail profile are provided on the shell base, for seating benches (26). |
