DRAINAGE STRUCTURE OF AIR BOX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent noise from being transmitted to an air box through a drainage path while allowing water infiltrating in the air box to flow down to the drainage path in the air box for sending outside air taken in from the outside of an vehicle to a driver's seat. SOLUTION: The air box 7 is formed with a drainage hole 3 to allow the water on a cowl top panel 1 to flow down to the drainage path 12. A trap 4 is provided in the drainage hole 3 at a position lower than the cowl top panel 1 to allow the water to flow in one direction from the side of the air box 7 to the side of the drainage path 12. The trap 4 is provided with a water storing part 4r storing the water in a normal state and a partition 4d to block off the outside air of the side of the drainage path 12 from the air box 7. Accordingly underfloor noise such as an engine sound can be prevented from being transmitted to the air box 7 through the drainage hole 3. When the water flows from the air box 7 into the trap 4 and overflows the water storing part 4r with a water storing amount being exceeded, the water flows down to the drainage path 12.
