PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door beam achieving weight saving and cost reduction, which is capable of suppressing work hardening of a material by substantially unifying forming steps, and appropriately responding to various specifications without a drastic change in a forming die. SOLUTION: The door beam is mounted inside a vehicle door to reinforce the door and protect a passenger in case of a side impact accident. It includes a beam part 2 formed integrally by press working of sheet metal with an approximate U-shape cross section, and flat mounting brackets 3 extended at both ends of the beam part 2 in the longitudinal direction.
