<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control light-receiving unit, along with electronic apparatus mounted with the same, capable of assuring mounting strength even if it is mounted vertically. <P>SOLUTION: In the remote control light-receiving unit of surface-mounted frame type IrDA, a light-receiving element 2 and a signal processing semiconductor integrated circuit chip 3 are mounted on the same frame, and are housed in the same mold resin package 4.
