PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording/reproducing device and a HDD recorder capable of appropriately performing sort based on recording date and time. SOLUTION: An MPU 11 of the HDD recorder 1 is provided with: a counting part 112 which counts a period count value which is the count value corresponding to a period in which power is supplied; a recording performance part 113 which associates video information accepted via a receiving part 15 with period count value information to be stored in a HDD 19; a list display part 114 which accepts operation input via a remote controller 3 to display a list of pieces of video information stored in the HDD 19 on a display 21 as a list picture based on a preset order to each piece of video information stored in the HDD 19 and a sort performance part 116 which accepts the operation input via the remote controller 3, rearranges the pieces of video information stored in the HDD 19 based on the corresponding period count value to display a list of its results on the display 21 as the list picture.
