PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition used for a tire, producing the tire balanced with grip characteristics and abrasion resistance in a high order, and the tire balanced with the grip characteristics and abrasion resistance in the high order. SOLUTION: This rubber composition used for the tire is provided by containing a copolymer of vinylnaphthalene with a conjugated diene, containing 5 to 60 wt.% vinylnaphthalene unit and having 5.0×10<SP>4</SP>to 2.0×10<SP>6</SP>weight-average molecular weight.
