PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more efficiently separate particles having a particle diameter suitable for manufacturing a paper board used for a corrugated board or the like recycling calcined ash Q of paper sludge. SOLUTION: In a separating tank 11 in which a bulkheading 11E is provided facing a discharge opening 11D opened on the upper inner wall, the calcined ash Q in which the paper sludge is calcined is supplied to the opposite side to the discharge opening 11D of the bulkheading 11E to separate into large particles, small particles, and middle particles. Among them, middle particles are extracted and crushed, and thereafter, classified into crushed large particles having a large diameter and crushed small particles having a small diameter. The crushed large particles are supplied to the opposite side to the discharge opening 11D of the bulkheading 11E in the separating tank 11, and the crushed small particles to the discharge opening 11D side of the bulkheading 11E. The crushed small particles and the small particles surfacing in the discharge opening 11D side of the bulkheading 11E are discharged from the discharge opening 11D as raw materials of the paper board.
