<p>A portable terminal and a function execution method thereof for implementing a special function in case the touch is inputted are provided to implement the special function conveniently due to a touch input on a touch screen. A portable terminal(100) comprises a touch screen and a controller(180). The input area for the specific function execution is displayed on the touch screen. In case the touch corresponding to specific function execution is inputted, the controller controls so that the specific application be performed.
