The present invention relates to an anticancer supplement agent and a composition for inhibiting the growth of tumor stem cells, comprising at least any one selected from the group consisting of a Sticta weigelii extract, brevicid X, and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the brevicid X. The composition inhibits the expression of ALDH-1, CD133, CD44, Msi-1, Lgr-5, Bmi-1, EphB-1, GLI-1, GLI-2, and SMO, which is a marker of tumor stem cells, induces the apoptosis of the tumor stem cells, and exhibits effects in inhibiting the differentiation into cancer cells and self-regeneration of the tumor stem cells. |
