PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system configured to allow easy membership registration with a member ID and a password set by a user as desired.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes: issuing means of issuing cookie having an identifier for identifying a user; authentication means of authenticating whether email address to be searched by the identifier of the cookie coincides with email address associated with a request; and member registration means of completing member registration by skipping a member confirmation step when the email addresses coincide with each other as a result of the authentication means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
