PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions comprising abscisic acid and/or salts, derivatives and analogs thereof, and pharmaceutical and/or nutraceutical methods of use.SOLUTION: The compositions comprising a therapeutically effective amount of abscisic acid and/or salts, derivatives and analogs thereof are administered. The methods of utilizing the same as pharmaceutical agents are used for the treatment of prostate hypertrophy, the treatment of diabetes, the increase of reproductive, postnatal survival rate and body weight, the increase of the immune function, the enhancement of attention, and the treatment of attention deficit disorder.
