PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate obtaining of an image of gloss targeted for an object in comparison with a case where a distortion acting on a recording material in accordance with a category of the recording material is not changed.SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: a fixing belt 610 that is capable of a circulating movement; a rotatable fixing roll 611 that is provided inside the fixing belt 610; a rotatable pressing roll 62 that is pushed against the fixing belt 610 via the fixing belt 610 to form a roll nip part N1 for a paper P to pass through between the fixing belt 610 and the pressing roll; and a peel-off pad 64 that pushes the pressing roll via the fixing belt 610 on a movement direction side of the fixing belt 610 downstream of the fixing roll 611 and inside of the fixing belt 610, and forms a peel-off nip part N2 large in distortion acting on the paper P in comparison with the roll nip part N1 between the fixing belt 610 and the pressing roll 62, in which in accordance with a category of the paper P, a width of the peel-off nip part N2 along the movement direction of the fixing belt 610 is changeable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
