摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active material for a lithium ion battery, preventing a collapse of a crystal structure due to charge/discharge cycles and excellent in cycle characteristics, and a lithium ion secondary battery using the same.SOLUTION: There are provided a positive electrode active material for a lithium ion battery and a method for producing the same. The positive electrode active material for a lithium ion battery is a silicate-based positive electrode active material represented by a composition formula: LiMnMSiO(where 0<X≤2, 0≤Y≤1.0 and 0≤Z≤1.0 are satisfied, and M represents one or more metals selected from among Fe, Co, Ni, Ti and Zn), the positive electrode active material for a lithium ion battery having an active material particle diameter of 50 nm or more and 200 nm or less and an active material crystallite diameter of 50 nm or more and 100 nm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
