PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attenuation force generator which has a high-speed response adjustment mechanism, can improve responsiveness, and can eliminate hardness at a traveling event and the impairment of absorption, and a shock-absorber.SOLUTION: An attenuation force generator comprises: a case which can accommodate oil therein; a partitioning member which partitions the inside of the case into a first oil chamber communicating with a piston-side oil chamber of a cylinder, and a second oil chamber communicating with a reservoir oil chamber; an oil passage which is formed at the partitioning member; a disc valve which is arranged at an opening part of the oil passage at the second oil chamber side, and opens and closes a flow of oil to the second oil chamber from the first oil chamber; an opening which is formed at the case, and makes the second oil chamber and the reservoir chamber communicate with each other; a block member for blocking a part of the opening; and a moving mechanism which makes an opening area of the opening variable by moving the block member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
