PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for suppressing the fixation of a toner to the carrier.SOLUTION: In the two-component developer comprising a toner and a carrier, when a melting temperature by a 1/2-method of the toner is 106°C or more and 112°C or less, a surface free energy of a resin-coated layer of the carrier is set to 12 mN/m. Alternatively, when the melting temperature by the 1/2-method of the toner is 112°C or more and 115°C or less, the surface free energy of the resin-coated layer of the carrier is set to 15 mN/m or less. Alternatively, when the melting temperature by the 1/2-method of the toner is 115°C or more and 126°C or less, the surface free energy of the resin-coated layer of the carrier is set to 20 mN/m or less. Alternatively, when the melting temperature by the 1/2-method of the toner is 126°C or more and 130°C or less, the surface free energy of the resin-coated layer of the carrier is set to 40 mN/m or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
