PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric parking brake capable of suppressing excessive increase of current which flows to a motor when the motor is started up, capable of quickly releasing application of the brake force to a vehicle and applying the brake force to the vehicle.SOLUTION: An electric parking brake 40 comprises: an actuator 50 having a motor 51; and a controller 100 for selecting one of plural power sources, and applying voltage of the selected power source to the motor 51. The controller 100 selects the first power source out of the respective power sources when temperature of a use environment of the actuator 50 is low, and applies the voltage of the selected power source to the motor 51 for starting up the motor 51.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
