PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor capable of preventing influence of interfering substances.SOLUTION: A sensor for detecting or determining quantity of a target substance contained in a liquid sample includes a coenzyme dependent enzyme, a quinone compound and at least a pair of electrodes 31 and 32. The enzyme dehydrogenates or oxidizes the target substance. The quinone compound can receive electrons emitted accompanied by dehydrogenation or oxidization of the target substance by the enzyme. The quinone compound has quinone and a substituent group, and the substituent group is hydrophilic. Oxidation reduction potential of the quinone compound is smaller than 0 and is larger than oxidation reduction potential of the coenzyme.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
