MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system which reduces consumption power.

SOLUTION: The radio communication system is characterized to have a base station which accommodates a plurality of radio systems and terminals which communicate with the base station using the plural radio systems. The terminal calculates a first distance between an access point of the radio LAN and the terminal, and discriminates whether communication by the radio LAN is possible or not by comparing the calculated first distance and a second distance which is a distance in which the communication by the radio LAN is possible.
