PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device which suppresses the intrusion of a gas at the outside of a housing into the housing while adjusting the inner pressure of the housing.SOLUTION: This electric power steering device comprises: a rack shaft 24 which operates accompanied by steering by a steering part; a gear housing 10 for accommodating the rack shaft 24; a tip-side opening 121 which is formed at the gear housing 10, and makes the inside and outside of the gear housing 10 communicate with each other; a ventilation valve 101 which covers the tip-side opening 121 while securing ventilation via the tip-side opening 121; and a piston 105 which is arranged inside the gear housing 10 rather than the ventilation valve 101, suppresses the intrusion of a gas passing through the ventilation valve 101 into the gear housing 10, and moves in the gear housing 10 according to a pressure difference between the inside and outside of the gear housing 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
