摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cemented carbide in which bias of particle size distribution of hard phase particles is smaller than conventional ones.SOLUTION: In first embodiment, a cemented carbide is provided which is obtained by binding hard phases mainly containing WC particles together with a binding phase mainly containing Co, and in which average particle diameter of the WC particles constituting the cemented carbide is less than 0.4 μm and dispersion degree that is an index representing uniformity of the WC particle diameter, is 0.55 or less.( the dispersion degree is a value of half value width of particle size distribution of WC particles (circle equivalent diameter with cumulative total frequency of 75%-circle equivalent diameter with cumulative total frequency of 25%) divided by average particle diameter of WC particles (50% particle diameter). In second embodiment, a cemented carbide is provided which is identical to the cemented carbide in the first embodiment except that the cemented carbide preferably contains at least one of carbide of V or carbide of Cr as a particle growth inhibitor. Such cemented carbide can be suitably used for various working tool since it has wear resistance and defect tolerance superior to these of conventional ones.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
