<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in a conventional optical information recording/reproducing device, information recording quality is determined only based on Beta value from amplitude information of a reproducing signal, and error information is output to a host computer when the Beta value is out of an allowable range; and when determining the information recording quality, a recording region with the information recorded thereon is divided into sample regions of a predetermined size to reproduce the information recorded for each sample region, so that the poor recording quality cannot be improved. <P>SOLUTION: The quality of a reproduced signal is determined by using information acquired from the amplitude information on the reproduced signal, which is reproduced just after information is recorded, and error information or performance information which is acquired from the binary value of the reproduced signal. The performance for ensuring the reliability of the information is derived from the former information by changing recording power conditions or from the latter information by changing recording pulse conditions or reproducing conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
