PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide emulsion compositions for phytosterol ester-containing cosmetics that can bring a cosmetic, particularly also an aqueous cosmetic, into homogeneous incorporation of phytosterol ester which is formerly difficult to be incorporated, and are excellent in temporal stability without separating phytosterol ester; to provide production methods thereof; and to provide cosmetics in which the composition is compounded.SOLUTION: An emulsion composition for phytosterol ester-containing cosmetics contains, as essential ingredients, phytosterol ester (0.1-30 mass%); an oil solution (0.1-50 mass%); at least one nonionic surfactant (0.1-50 mass%) selected from the group consisting of polyoxyethylene isostearyl ether, polyoxyethylene octyldodecyl ether, and oleic acid sorbitan; and water, wherein the formulation mass ratio of phytosterol and an oil solution to a nonionic surfactant is 10:4-10:20, and the average HLB of a nonionic surfactant is 9-20.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
