A new composition for dental use for the surgical treatment of peri-implantitis (and not for the local treatment in the peri-implant pocket) - that is, those inflammatory processes of bacterial origin which occur in the bone tissue surrounding a dental implant, which achieves a gradual release of the therapeutic agent in the immediate vicinity of the disease process - which allows to eliminate the bacterial deposits (BIOFILM) on the surface of the implant dentistry. This composition contains: - sodium hyaluronate with low and / or high molecular weight in the range respectively: 0.1-0.4 MDa, and between 2.31 to 6 MDa, pyrogen-free, sterile in an aqueous solution; - piperacillin sodium and tazobactam sodium in a given weight ratio, that is 1 to 8; - buffer system that includes: dibasic sodium phosphate and potassium phosphate monobasic; - chlorhexidine and / or cetrimide and orto-phosphoric acid: in particular, the salt selected from chlorhexidine digluconate is in the range of 0.5-4%; cetrimide is advantageously used, in the range 0.2-2%; orto phosphoric acid is used at 37%. |
