PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator capable of securing magnetic flux and reducing noise while achieving downsizing (thickness reduction), and a rotary electric machine comprising the same.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a thin stator S which takes a 4-pole structure. The stator S comprises: a flat cylindrical yoke 6 having flat parts 6a, 6a and a pair of curved surface parts 6b, 6b; a pair of N-pole magnets 5A, 5A; and S-pole magnets 5B, 5B. The magnets 5 are respectively arranged along inner corners formed at boundary parts between the flat parts 6a and the curved surface parts 6b, so as to extend across the boundary parts and such that the respective magnetic flux center lines are angled at 45° relative to the flat parts 6a in cross section along a plane orthogonal to an axial direction. The magnets 5 respectively comprise thick parts 5a, and thin parts 5b smaller in thickness than the thick parts 5a, and respectively have shapes symmetrical about the magnetic pole center.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
