The fork is produced from a single part by pressing a metal sheet and has a cylindrical neck with ribs to allow it to be coupled to the end of a shaft and a convex cap which is arranged coaxially with respect to the neck. Two diametrically opposite flat and parallel arms extend without buckling points from the neck and, at their free ends, these arms have openings which are each provided with a flange. To achieve sufficient strength of the fork, the arms are furthermore provided with longitudinal ribs with a U-shaped cross-section. The fork has a low weight and is inexpensive to manufacture.
