PURPOSE:To prevent the working environment from making worse or the circumference from giving an adverse influence by embossing the surface of a plastic base material sheet and filling a water base ink in the formed embossing recessed part to use no or a little organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:The method for producing a decorative sheet is basically made up by embossing the surface of the plastic base material sheet 1 and filling the water base ink 2 into the formed embossing recessed part. In this way, problems in accordance with the use of an organic solvent based ink or coating material is solved by using the water base ink 2 as an ink filled into the embossing recessed part of the base material sheet 1. In the case that organic solvent based ink is used for a pattern printing, the used quantity of the ink is extremely small and a conventional printing equipment is usable because the technology is established and the problems in accordance with the use of the organic solvent is not recognized.
