The guide appts. adjusts the guide bar (4) of a printer that is used to support the print head carriage is mounted at either end in side plates. The bearing locations are provided by eccentric elements (5), such that if the guide bar is turned through an arc the distance of the bar from the printing surface is varied. Attached to the bar is a lever (9) that can be moved along a ratchet track to adjust the setting. The bar is subjected to a force applied by a strip spring (6) that is secured in end locations. USE/ADVANTAGE - Provides clearance free support for printer head guide.
