PURPOSE: To improve driving performance in winter driving conditions by asymmetrically shaping a tire tread pattern on the inner and outer sides with respect to vehicles, arranging the inner tread pattern portion at constant pitches and the outer portion at longer pitches than the inner portion, and equalizing the ground contact areas laterally separated by the equator line. CONSTITUTION: This tire has a tread pattern shaped asymmetrically with respect to an equator line M-M and constituted of two shoulder block rows 1 and 1' and three center block rows 2, 2' and 2". The shoulder block rows 1 and 1' are partly outside of the tread region of the tire. The shoulder and center block rows 1, 2, 2', 2" and 1' include blocks interspaced by lateral grooves 3a, 3b, 3c, 4a and 4b. The blocks of the inner block rows 1, 2 and 2' are arrayed in sixty-six constantly repeated circumferential pitches, while the blocks of the outer block rows 1' and 2" are arranged in fifty-seven constantly repeated pitches. |
