Operating device for manual and sequential gear selection of automatic transmission

The operating device has a gear selection device (1) for selection of gear positions (P,R,N,D,3,2,1) of the automatic transmission and a control device (4) to control the transmission rations in the transmission (6). The device has an operating pedal (13) in the driver's foot space. This can be operated by the driver's foot to send commands to change gear up or down to the control device. The pedal may turn about an axis (16) and may have spring elements (14) to return it to a disengaged position when it is not being operated.
