<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal oxide coated positive electrode active material for use in forming a lithium secondary battery in which cycle characteristics are improved and a decline in output characteristics is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The metal oxide coated positive electrode active material has a positive electrode active material, and a metal oxide coated-layer which the entire surface of the positive electrode active material is coated with. The metal oxide coated positive electrode active material further has holes that are uniformly disposed in the metal oxide coated layer. The holes communicate from the surface of the positive electrode active material to the surface of the metal oxide coated layer to allow the lithium ion to move. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
