PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a substitute equally substitutable for a compost-manure depot, an agricultural product shipping point, a temporarily constructed road, a paddock, a barn floor, and the like, using a lime cake which is an industrial waste by adding a specific amount of a cement to a mixture of the lime cake with lapilli, regulating the moisture content to a desired content, stirring the resultant mixture, carrying out the one compaction of the stirred mixture and performing the curing in the outside air. SOLUTION: This substitute is obtained by adding 300 kg/m3 of a cement to 1 m3 of a mixture of 45-10 vol.% of a lime cake with 55-90 vol.% of lapilli, regulating the moisture content to 20-30% which is comparable to that of a concrete, stirring the regulated mixture with a rotary harrow, carrying out rolling compaction of the stirred mixture with a rolling compactor, curing the resultant mixture in the outside air for about 28 days and molding (placing) the cured mixture. The lime cake is a cake consisting essentially of calcium carbonate produced when treating a sugar juice at the time of producing sucrose with milk of lime and gaseous carbon dioxide. The obtained molded substitute has about 30-80 kgf/cm2 uniaxial compressive strength thereof in the compounding example and can be used for a compost-manure depot, or the like.
