PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately control transmission diversity without the need for feedback information exclusive for transmission diversity control. SOLUTION: A power control bit detection section 5 detects a power control bit from an adaptive array antenna output signal. Then the detected power control bit A is received by a transmission diversity control section 7. The transmission diversity control section 7 controls the transmission diversity on the basis of instruction contents of transmission power by the power control bit A. The transmission diversity control section 7 selects a transmission antenna by the transmission diversity control and outputs a wireless output signal B to the selected antenna.
