PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To newly provide a lifter or the like capable of simply and suitably transporting a relatively large size chair such as a sofa even by one person. SOLUTION: The lifter is provided with a standing body 11 having a wheel 111a on a lower end side and an operation part 114 on an upper end side; and a function body 12 extending from one part of the standing body 11 along a floor and formed with an engagement part 123 engageable with a lateral frame C2 on an extension end side so as to be utilized when the chair C provided with at least a pair of left and right leg parts C1, C1 and the lateral frame C2 positioned between the leg parts C1, C1 is placed on the truck 2 positioned at the outer side of the leg part C1. Operation force for inclining the standing body 11 is applied to the operation part 114 in the state where the wheel 111a of the standing body 11 is positioned on the outer side of the truck 2 and the engagement part 123 of the function body 12 goes over the truck 2 and is engaged with the lateral frame C2 of the chair C. Thereby, the engagement part 123 of the function body 12 is relatively moved to the wheel 111a side while lifting it making a ground-contact part 111a of the standing body 11 as fulcrum and the leg part C1 of the chair C can be placed on the truck 2.
