An optical transceiver for offering a broadcast/communication service is provided to offer all of the broadcast/communication services to the home through a single optical cable by connecting various broadcast receivers installed in the home and communication devices to an optical line terminal. An optical transceiver comprises a LAN(Local Area Network) connection terminal(145), a TV connection terminal(175), a speaker connection terminal(155), an optical signal transceiving unit(120), a demultiplexer(130), an optical modem(160), a broadcast signal conversion unit(150), a tuner(195), a splitter(190), an amplifier(185), a control signal converting unit(170) and a controller(110). The optical signal transceiving unit transmits and receives optical signals to and from an OLT(Optical Line Terminal). The optical modem converts an LAN signal inputted from the LAN connection terminal into an optical signal, and then outputs the converted result to the optical signal transceiving unit. The controller controls the tuner and amplifier based on a control signal inputted from the control signal converting unit. |
