The circuit has a controller (113) for regulating a selector (111), square limiting circuit (107), phase rotating circuit, and amplitude scaling circuit. The selector chooses between received baseband signal and feedback signal to output selected signal. The square limiting circuit receives and limits the amplitude of selected signal. The phase rotating circuit rotates phase of the amplitude-limited signal and sends phase-rotated signal to selector as feedback signal. The amplitude scaling circuit compensates amplitude difference between the phase-rotated signal and amplitude-limited signal. An independent claim is included for the power limiting method.
