<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument suitable for measuring a bearing thrust load applied onto a bearing assembly, in particular, of a gas turbine engine. <P>SOLUTION: A bearing housing 50 attached with a bearing rotor thrust assembly 10 is provided with a plurality of fingers 58 extended between a pair of opposed portions 60, 62. The assembly includes a first anchor member 14 including the first non-slip 22 and constituted to be coupled to the first housing portion out of the paired housing portions, a second anchor member 16 including the second non-slip 24 and constituted to be coupled to the second housing portion out of the paired housing portions, and a head sensor bracket 12 including a load cell 26 with at least one part positioned between the first anchor member and the second anchor member.
