The present invention provides an autonomous network that enables economical, swift restoration of communications. For this purpose, the autonomous network of the present invention further provides node devices for an additive network B, and adds an interface card to each node device of an existing network A to connect the network A to the network B. The node devices of the additive network B are connected to each other in a mesh type, and configure a separate autonomous system independently from the existing network A. The additive network B is dedicated to a backup route of the existing network A. The network B suppresses the link bandwidth or transmission capacity of node devices to be even less than that of the existing network so that the network B may be economically established in a small size. The additive network B is established to temporarily transport some of traffics in a case where the existing network A breaks down or is subjected to restoration of breakdown. This network B does not require large transmission capacity.
