The arrangement has a cylinder-like, oblong gas-discharge lamp e.g. T16 lamp, with two front ends, and a shielding element (20), which has a section that forms a casing of an area with one of the two front ends. The shielding element is designed such that the casing opens during heating of the element, if the temperature of the area is higher than a predetermined temperature, which lies preferably between 40 and 45 degree Celsius. The predetermined temperature is approximately equal to the temperature of the area, with which the lamp radiates light without the element. |
