PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner having a smaller number of electric wires that connect a control 4 on handle and a vacuum cleaner body 2, and allowing switching of a rotation direction of a brush motor 51. SOLUTION: A line A and a line B connect a brush motor driving circuit 37 of the vacuum cleaner body 2 and the brush motor 51 of a floor nozzle 10. A line C connects the control 4 on handle and a microcomputer 34 of the vacuum cleaner body 2. The lines A and B are connected in parallel to a control panel 9 of the control 4 on handle through diodes 41 and 42 respectively. The line C allows a microcomputer 34 to detect a switching signal of the control panel 9. Based on the detected switching signal, the brush motor driving circuit 37 is controlled so as to switch the rotation direction of the brush motor 51. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
