An indwelling needle with wings, less possible to damage blood vessels etc. by a cannula. The indwelling needle has a movable unit (1) with the cannula and a hub, a tube (2) connected to the rear of the hub, a holder (3), and wings (4) for fixation. The movable unit (1) is axially slidably provided on the holder (3) and can change its position between a use position and a stowed position on the rearward of the use position. The movable unit (1) is releaseably fixed at the use position. The holder (3) has a protective tube (26) for receiving, when the movable unit (1) is positioned at the stowed position, only that front part of the cannula (6) that includes an edge point (6A) of the cannula (6) and having the wings (4) for fixation, and the holder (3) also has a guide member (27) exposed upward and guiding the slide of the movable unit (1). |
