PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To normally perform mirroring or the like of cache data even if during update of firmware. SOLUTION: An activity exchange control part 124a has: an update instruction part 21a for notifying a firmware update target about an update instruction; and an area setting part 24a for requesting transmission of area information showing a position of a cache area holding a cache in a storage part after the firmware is updated, and instructing setting of the position of the cache area based on the transmitted area information. An activity exchange control part 124b has: an area information acquisition part 25b acquiring the area information showing the position of the cache area; an area information transmission/reception part 26b for transmitting the acquired area information to the area setting part 24a; and an area setting part 24b for setting the position of the cache area based on the instruction of the area setting part 24a.
