PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and a scanner unit, capable of enhancing a printing speed of monochromic print, without increasing a cost and requiring complicated control. SOLUTION: This image forming device of the present invention is provided with a plurality of laser beam irradiation means, the first deflection means for deflecting laser beams from the plurality of laser beam irradiation means to conduct scanning along main scanning directions of respective photoreceptors, for forming electrostatic latent images on the plurality of photoreceptors, and the second deflection means for deflecting the laser beam from one of the plurality of laser beam irradiation means to conduct scanning along a main scanning direction of the one photoreceptor, for forming the electrostatic latent image on the one photoreceptor.
